Wild West Adventures
From SPARK
One-sentence summary
Christian non-fiction stories for children about the western United States.
Description
Christian non-fiction stories for children. Cowboys and Indians, buffalo stampedes, eating roasted mice as a cure for measles, all were part of living in the American West in the early days of its history. The United States stretched from the Mississippi River to the Pacific Ocean. A map at the end of the book shows which states were considered wild until pioneers moved west.
Most children will be interested in the adventures told in this book. They will learn that life in the United States has not always been like it is today. Children will learn what it means to be a believer in Jesus.
There are no more covered wagons traveling across the United States. People don't live in teepees but there are cowboys and Indians. Part of the West where bears, coyotes, and poisonous snakes live is still wild.
These stories are about nature and human adventures. They tell about historical happenings. Some stories are about people who believe in Jesus. The book tells what it is like to live in parts of the Western U.S. today.
