Who Made God?
From SPARK
One-sentence summary
Answer to questions children (and adults) ask.
Description
The book helps children to learn who God is. It tells them that God is always ready to help them. He is powerful and He loves them. Each answer is on one page. The facing page has a colored picture that illustrates the question. All of the pictures show western children and western life styles.
The subjects are:
- God is awesome!
- If God made everything, then who made God?
- What does God look like?
- How can there be a God so big?
- Does God think about me much?
- Why doesn't God talk to me out loud?
- Why did God make people anyway?
- Can I hide from God?
- Just how much does God love me?
- Where was Jesus before He was born?
- What does God do all day?
- Why does God let bad things happen?
- Why didn't Jesus stay on earth?
- When will Jesus come back?
- How can I know for sure that I'll go to heaven?
Considerations
- This book is best for children 4-7 years old.
- Bible verses are included in many of the answers.
Limitations
- The colored pictures show western children and western life styles. They will not be meaningful in many other cultures. Culturally appropriate pictures could be used instead.
- The pictures show parts of people and scenes. These will have to be explained to children who are not picture literate.
Guidelines for Use
- As an audio book without the westernized pictures
- As radio programs for children
- In schools and Sunday Schools
