One-sentence summary

A short pamphlet for kids in tough places.

Description

The Survivors is for children who have lived through natural or man-made disasters. The pamphlet tells them that God will give them safety, comfort, and courage during these times. It helps children deal with their fears by encouraging them to draw a picture and personalize their prayers. They also learn to make a 'yelling tube' for getting rid of their anger

  • Use with children 7 to 12 years old.
  • The pictures show children from different cultures.

Limitations

  • The pictures are of older children.

Guidelines for Use

  • As a flip chart, by someone who can read and write. It could be used for a group discussion.
  • In schools, churches, Bible clubs, or places that have had man-made (war) or natural disaster.
