Description

This book was written as a guide for parents who want to teach children about God. It can also be used in classrooms and Sunday schools too. The book uses American English to tell about the Nature of God, sin, salvation, the Christian life, the church, prayer and the return of Jesus. There are eighty-six readings. Each one begins with text that is followed by: Something to Talk About. This includes some Bible verses, a hymn and a prayer.

The fourteen topics are:

  • Looking for God
  • God is very Great
  • All that God does is good
  • Sin spoiled the world
  • God's law
  • God loves us
  • What Jesus did
  • About the Holy Spirit
  • How we become children of God
  • How God's children live and grow
  • God helps his children live for him
  • When we pray to God

  • Things that are to happen

Considerations

  • This paperback has 184 pages.
  • It is 8" x 10"
  • For children 4-10 years old.
  • Their are many colored pictures.
  • Pictures are multi-cultural.
  • The part about the return of Jesus does not use statements that will cause arguements about what will happpen.

Limitations

  • Some pictures show a part of the scene. These will need to be explained to children who are not picture literate.
  • Some pictures show children who live in western cultures. These may not be useful in all cultures.
  • Some colors may have different meanings in other cultures.

  • In Schools and Sunday schools.
  • As audio cassette or CD.
