Description
This book helps children understand the importance of the Old Testament. Through story line, text, questions, maps, photographs, graphs, and illustrations children will learn how the nation was divided. They will learn about powerful kings and warnings by prophets that were ignored. They will learn about invading armies that caused Israel to become a barren land.
This is the story of the Israelites' captivity. It tells about their years in exile. During this time, they learned to trust God more. It ends with the rebuilding of their their land and restoring of their culture.

Limitations
- Most of the illustrations show only parts of people and scenes. Some of the drawings are from unusual views. These will need to be explained to children who are not picture literate.
