Importance of the Old Testament

The Old Testament teaches the foundational concepts of who God is and what He is like. Some cultures have very distorted views of God, and just giving them the New Testament or the Jesus or Luke film does not necessarily work if they are still viewing God from a spiritism, punishing, fearful, distant point of view. The stories of the Old Testament help to establish the foundation and the worldview on which to receive the gospel.
