A flipchart book that tells about missionaries; also available in CD-ROM.

Description

Forever Changed by the Book is a missionary story about Jo Shetler. She was a Bible translator in the Philippines. She worked with the Balangao people in the northern part of the country.

The story begins with Jo's childhood. As a young girl Jo learned that God loved her. She learned that God sent His Son, Jesus to show his love. She decided to follow Jesus.

The pictures in first part show an American family lifestyle. After Jo's arrival in the Philippines the pictures show some of the challenges of living in the mountains of that country.

After the Balango people hear about the ancestors of Bible peoples many decide to become followers of Jesus. Their faith grew but prayer was not yet a part of the lives of these believers. Then a plane crash almost killed Jo. Praying for her recovery taught many Balango believers that God answers prayer.

The faith and prayer of Balango believers continued to change their lives. They realized that they needed to listen to Jesus' command to share the ‘Good News' with others. They began to send out Balango missionaries to other people groups. Today Balango missionaries work in other parts of the Philippines and in other parts of world.
