A displaced people group is one that has been forced, for whatever reason, to leave their home country or area and live in another. They want to maintain their language and cultural heritage and usually hold onto them as long as possible. They still have close connections with their home country and a vital interest in what is happening there. Often, they have close or extended family still living in the home country. Their desire would be to live in the home country if possible and hope that someday they might return to it.
