One-sentence summary

Children's flipchart story of sharing God's Word in Communist countries.

Description

Brother Andrew: God's Smuggler is a five-lesson flipchart story. The pictures are 10" x 13" and two sided. The story is taken from the book: God's Smuggler. It tells how God called a young Dutch man to share God's Word with people who were forbidden to worship God. This was when Russian Communism controlled most of Eastern Europe.

Considerations

  • Use with children 9 - 12 years old.
  • If translated, more recent work of Brother Andrew should be included.

Limitations

The story is rather out-dated.

  • In the story, Brother Andrew's homeland is called Holland. The proper name is The Netherlands.
  • The story is told in a way that some children may be offended. If recorded in other languages, the voice tone could be changed.

Guidelines for Use

Use in Eastern Europe that is now free of Communist rulers.

  • Record on audio cassette or CD.
  • Use with the flipchart pictures in churches, Sunday Schools, schools, camps, and Bible clubs.
  • With some changes, use as a radio story for children.
