Considerations

The colored pictures add interest.

  • This information might be recorded on audio cassette or CD. The colored pictures could be used as a flipchart.
  • This information and activities would be useful in a Sunday school or Christian school. This could encourage the children to pray for the Indonesian people. People experience difficulties and dangers because of their belief in Jesus.
  • The Bible verse to encourage prayer is Hebrews 13:3 (The booklet uses the King James Version. An easier version is the Contemporary English Version.) CEV reads “Remember the Lord's people who are in jail and be concerned for them. Don't forget those who are suffering, but imagine that you are there with them.”
  • Learning about real people (usually children) makes geography more personal.

Limitations

All Bible verses are from the King James Version (KJV). An easier version translation is the Contemporary English Version CEV).

  • Some of the activities such as crossword puzzles and word searches may need to be made culturally correct.
  • In some Muslim-controlled countries this booklet might cause serious trouble if authorities see it.
