Description

Bible Lessons to Light the Way has four Bible lessons. A fifth lesson is an adaptation of the Wordless Book story. There are five Bible verses to remember. These five lessons were made for use with the visualized story No Darkness At All

There are a total of 36 pictures that are 10” X 14”. The pictures have two colors, plus black, white and gray. The lessons are:

  • Elijah and the Prophets of Baal (1 Kings 17 and 18; James 5:17) This lesson has ten pictures.
  • Jesus and the Children (Matthew 19:13-15; Mark 10:13-16; Luke 18:15-17) This lesson has six pictures.
  • Philemon and the Runaway Slave (Book of Philemon) This lesson has nine pictures.
  • The adaption of the Wordless Book Story has no pictures. Blank pieces of colored paper are needed when explaining the Wordless Book. Colors needed are:
    • Gold
    • Dark blue or black
    • Red
    • White
    • Green (This is used to teach children who respond to the invitation.)
  • Naaman's Little Servant Girl (II Kings 5:1-17) This lesson has eleven pictures.

Considerations

  • The large size of this flipchart booklet makes it easy to use with large groups. They are separate pages and not yet in booklet form.

Limitations

  • Some pictures show only parts of people or the scene. This may confuse listeners who are not picture literate.
  • The paper is not sturdy and will not last long with continued use.
  • The Bible verses to memorize will not be useful for listeners who cannot read.

Guidelines for Use

  • These lessons could be used in Sunday School, schools, Bible clubs, camps, and in children's church.
