Description
Bible Lessons for Life's Journey is a 10” X 14” flipchart booklet. It has 36 pictures in two colors, plus black, white, and gray. The book is spiral-bound. It has five lessons. Bible verses to remember are also included. The five lessons in this booklet are:
1. The Philippian Jailer (Acts 16: 16-34)
- Aims of lesson:
- How to get rid of the burden of sin.
- How to believe and become a follower of Jesus.
2. The Crucifixion and Resurrection of Christ (Matthew 26-28; Mark 14-16; Luke 22-24; John 18-20)
- Aim of the lesson:
- To show that all people are like the lost sheep for whom the Good Shepherd (Jesus) gave his life.
3. The Christian's Armor (Ephesians 6:10-18)
- Aim of the lesson:
- To show that God has made it possible through Jesus, to win the victory over Satan. Pictures in this lesson allow the children to build up a man and add his armor as the lesson continues.
4. The Crossing of the Red Sea (Exodus 12:37-51; 14:1-15:2)
- Aim of lesson:
- To show that God will hear our call, and use his power to free us from sin as we believe in, and follow Jesus.
5. Cain and Abel (Genesis 4:1-15)
- Aim of lesson:
- To show that there is only one way of salvation, and that is God's way. It is through the blood of Jesus.
The five lessons have been written for use with the five-chapter story, Pilgrim's Progress, Visualized. But each group of lessons may be used as a separate series.
Considerations
- The large size of this flipchart book will make it easy to share with larger groups of listeners.
Limitations
- Some of the pictures show only parts of people or the scene. This may confuse people who are not picture literate.
- The verses to remember are written in large print but will not be useful for people who cannot read.
Guidelines for Use
- These lessons would be useful in Sunday School, schools, Bible clubs, camps, and in children's church.
