Evaluation

Audioengine only produces smaller speakers, and they are very well built and have good sound quality. Although the units have a plastic-like lacquer finish, they have a wooden case underneath. Neither the low-end (3”) Kevlar speaker, nor the high-end silk (1”) speaker are guarded by grills, but both appear to be of durable enough material to take moderate abuse.
Perhaps the most valuable specification to note for VMS personnel is that the power supply is 100~240 volts.
